2010 mummers parade on philadephia

as the annual tournament of rose parade happens in pasadena california usa, the annual mummers parade is taking the philadephia roads by storm. the mummer parade happens every january 1 like the rose bowl tournament. the parade is lika a madi-gra festival where participants wears costume and perform skits on the broad street of philadelphia. despite of the warnings of the rain the parade pushes it begins at 10 am where astronaut, surfers and penguins where the early perfomers of the parade and luckily the sun shines and no traces of the rain. except for one critical problem due to recession where the city government cuts back its financial contribution to the parade where costumes and other expences amounter to 150, 000 dollars as earlier announced by the the mummers parade organizers.
