a 6.5 magnitude eartquake hits eureka north california last january 9, 2010 afternoon around 4pm. the earthquake centered under the pacific ocean about 45 miles southwest of eureka. there are no complete reports yet on the damage caused by the 6.5 magnitude earthquake aside from the glass windows and slight damages on the houses. there is no tsunami reported.
